Program Manager
Dr. Philemon Babashola Akindele had a Ph.D. degree at the then Department of Guidance and Counselling (now Department of Counselling and Human Development Studies), University of Ibadan in 2004. Before relocating to Canada, he worked with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in Nigeria for over a decade. He has been in Canada for more than 20 years where he used his experiences in academic activities in JAMB and Canada in providing leadership as the program manager of GVAS. His role is to oversee all the functions of GVAS and serve as the Chairman of the Board of GVAS.
Director of Academic Services
Prof. J. Gbenga Adewale had a Ph.D degree from the Institute of Education, University of Ibadan, in 1998. He worked as a classroom teacher at the Teaching Service Commission of Oyo State and then as a lecturer at the College of Animal Health and Production Technology. Presently, he works with the University of Ibadan for more than 25 years to date. His area of expertise is in educational assessment. He is the national consultant on Monitoring Learning Achievement (MLA) of the Federal Ministry of Education, Abuja, Nigeria. He was an international Consultant for MLA sponsored by UNICEF at Sao Tome and Principe. He works part-time as the Director of Academic Services at GVAS. His role is to direct the affairs of all academic-related activities of GVAS, starting from developing a program course, content outline or curriculum, content creation, visualization, and teachings. He is also in charge of all assessment procedures in GVAS. He is in this capacity as a consultant.
Director of Administration
Dr. Grace G. Adewale had a Ph.D degree from the Department of Counselling and Human Development Studies, University of Ibadan. She worked as a Deputy Director at an African-American school, and Director of Our Place Christian Schools in Ibadan. Presently, she works as the Clinical Psychologist at the Panacea Psychiatric Hospital in Ibadan. She works part-time with GVAS as the Director of Administration. Her role is to direct the administrative affairs of GVAS like staffing and admission of students into programs.
Instructors
Theodora Bello is a Professor of Physics Education with over 28 years of teaching experience in physics and science education. She has a Ph.D. (Physics) and an M.Ed. (Curriculum Studies) from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. She belongs to five professional organizations and has more than 40 published articles. She has supervised 31 Master's and six doctoral theses. She is a trainer in proposal writing, a facilitator for teacher training, a Certified Accreditor for Programme and Institutional Accreditation, and a Certified Academic Planner in higher education.
Graphic Designer
Mr. Patrick Obot (B.Sc Ed Mathematics) was a student at the International Centre for Educational Evaluation, the University of Ibadan, where he obtained an M.Ed. Educational Evaluation. He is now a Ph.D. student at the University of Houston in the US. He is gifted in graphic design; he designed the majority of the images and pictures used in GVAS.
Mrs Esther R. Adegbaju is the Principal, Abadina College, Senior School, University of Ibadan, Ibadan. She works with the Teaching Service Commission of Oyo State, Nigeria, and teaches Commerce and Financial Accounts. She belongs to the All Nigerian Conference of Principals (ANCOPS) and is also a member of the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT). She developed and administered tests and examinations for students to measure their academic proficiency and understanding. She worked cooperatively with parents and teachers to help students accomplish their learning objectives
Simeon Oluniyi ARIYO, Ph.D., has been a mathematics tutor at the International School University of Ibadan, Nigeria, for about two decades. He has a doctorate in educational evaluation and master's degrees in educational evaluation and educational management, all from the University of Ibadan. He holds a first degree in mathematics education from the University of Uyo. His research areas are enhanced teaching and learning, teaching effectiveness and achievement, assessment practice in learning situations, and evaluation of learning outcomes.
Babajide Aremu has been in the business of teaching the English Language for more than two decades. He has taught at Posit College, Oritamefa Baptist Model School, Community High School, and Government Secondary School, and for now, he teaches at The International School, University of Ibadan, Ibadan. I have also written some books including a novel titled *The Guilty One*
Mrs Diji D. C is a teacher with 33 years of teaching experience in the subject of Biology. She has a B.sc in Botany from Obafemi Awolowo University (1989), an M.sc in Agricultural Biology(1991), a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (2022), and an M.Ed in Measurement and Evaluation (2014), all from the University of Ibadan. She has been involved in the review of the SSCE Biology curriculum and capacity building of Biology teachers. She is currently a principal Tutor in the International School, the University of Ibadan, where she takes the Exam class(ss3) and prepares students for UTME.
Gbenga Olubukoye OYALADE holds a BSc (Mathematics) from the University of Ibadan and an N.C.E(Mathematics/Physics) from Osun State College of Education Ilesa. He has been a seasoned Mathematics tutor in various schools in Ibadan, Nigeria, for about two decades, including Deril Academy Ibadan, Maverick College Ibadan, etc. He teaches Mathematics/ Further Mathematics at The International School, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. His passion for teaching, wealth of knowledge, and teaching methodology for imparting knowledge have made his students lovers of this all-important subject.
Comfort Adejobi BOYEDE had worked as a Mathematics teacher at several private schools in Lagos and Ibadan. She obtained a BSc. in Mathematics Education at Obafemi Awolowo University, with a Second-Class Upper Division in 2009 and an NCE in Mathematics/Economics with distinction from Adeyemi College of Education in 2004. She is currently a postgraduate student at the Institute of Education, University of Ibadan, pursuing her master’s degree in educational evaluation.
Ganiyu Kehinde Ismaeel is an accounting facilitator at GVAS Academy. I have years of experience in classrooms, corporate organizations, and government parastatals like NISER in Ibadan. At present, Oyo State TESCOM is my employer. He had the National Certificate in Education at FCE (Special) Oyo and a B.Ed Business Education (2nd Class Upper Division) from (ABU) Zaria and Med. Educational Evaluation at the Institute of Education, University of Ibadan, is the credential I hold. My special qualities include a commitment to students’ success and growth, support for diverse learners, and the ability to keep up with industry changes to improve educational outcomes.
Mr. Joshua O. Adewale holds a Bachelor's Degree in Health Education and a certificate in computer programming with C++ and Python. He also holds a Master's degree in Public Health. He is the data analyst at GVAS, responsible for automating the authoring of courses on the platform. He provides technical support to the company in proofreading the content to ensure that the uploaded materials are concise and free of errors.
Echeng Edom Mboto is a seasoned professional with exceptional interpersonal, presentation, management, and problem-solving skills. Holding a Master's degree in Philosophy from the University of Ibadan and a BA in Philosophy from the University of Uyo, Echeng has honed his expertise through various roles, including Administrative Secretary at Global Virtual Academy System Inc
Mr Adewale Emmanuel is a content manager at GVAS and is responsible for quality control of the content seen on the website. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. He enjoys writing and researching and is equipped with various skills, including data analysis (quantitative and qualitative).
