About Us

The Global Virtual Academy System (GVAS) Ltd. has its international headquarters in Canada, and our partners are located in Nigeria and India.

Our objectives are to establish and run a global virtual academy; develop online content instructional materials in the form of textbooks, teachers' guides, and workbooks for students; organize online training (for teachers, school leaders, and managers), workshops, and conferences; and develop a repository for e-books. Lastly, we sell educational products through digital/electronic educational devices.

Our services cover the three levels of education (basic education—early childhood and development education ECCDE; primary education and junior secondary education), senior secondary school, and tertiary (College of Education, Monotechnic, Polytechnic, and University education).

At present, we are focusing on primary and secondary schools in the area of textbook development, online teaching (videos), and interactive question banks for English, Mathematics, Science, Social studies, and ICT. For secondary school students and those who had finished secondary school but need to make up their papers in SSCE (WAEC and NECO) and UTME (JAMB) in terms of treating past questions: objective, essay, and practicals for science-based subjects..

Dr. Philemo B. Akindele

Program Manager

Dr. Philemon Babashola Akindele had a Ph.D. degree at the then Department of Guidance and Counselling (now Department of Counselling and Human Development Studies), University of Ibadan in 2004. Before relocating to Canada, he worked with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in Nigeria for over a decade. He has been in Canada for more than 20 years where he used his experiences in academic activities in JAMB and Canada in providing leadership as the program manager of GVAS. His role is to oversee all the functions of GVAS and serve as the Chairman of the Board of GVAS.

Prof. J. Gbenga Adewale

Director of Academic Services

Prof. J. Gbenga Adewale had a Ph.D degree from the Institute of Education, University of Ibadan, in 1998. He worked as a classroom teacher at the Teaching Service Commission of Oyo State and then as a lecturer at the College of Animal Health and Production Technology. Presently, he works with the University of Ibadan for more than 25 years to date. His area of expertise is in educational assessment. He is the national consultant on Monitoring Learning Achievement (MLA) of the Federal Ministry of Education, Abuja, Nigeria. He was an international Consultant for MLA sponsored by UNICEF at Sao Tome and Principe. He works part-time as the Director of Academic Services at GVAS. His role is to direct the affairs of all academic-related activities of GVAS, starting from developing a program course, content outline or curriculum, content creation, visualization, and teachings. He is also in charge of all assessment procedures in GVAS. He is in this capacity as a consultant.

Dr. Grace G. Adewale

Director of Administration

Dr. Grace G. Adewale had a Ph.D degree from the Department of Counselling and Human Development Studies, University of Ibadan. She worked as a Deputy Director at an African-American school, and Director of Our Place Christian Schools in Ibadan. Presently, she works as the Clinical Psychologist at the Panacea Psychiatric Hospital in Ibadan. She works part-time with GVAS as the Director of Administration. Her role is to direct the administrative affairs of GVAS like staffing and admission of students into programs.
